01 About the house

A hotel that belongs to the city.

Bukhara has been receiving travellers for two and a half thousand years. We tried to add as little to that as possible.

Integrity, respect, and responsibility are the values that guide everything we do. For our guests, this means transparent bookings, attentive service, and genuine care for every detail. For tour operators and corporate partners, it means reliable cooperation, prompt communication, flexible solutions, and consistently high service standards throughout the year.

Omar Khayyam Hotel remains a family-owned business. For us, hospitality is more than a profession—it is a legacy that has been carefully developed over the past twenty years. We are personally involved in the daily life of the hotel, continuously improving our services while preserving the warm and welcoming atmosphere that has made us a trusted choice for travelers from around the world.

We believe that true hospitality begins long before check-in—it begins with trust. And for more than twenty years, earning that trust has been at the heart of everything we do.

Our experience in hospitality.

Twenty years ago, as international tourism in Bukhara was beginning to flourish, Omar Khayyam Hotel welcomed its very first guests. Today, two decades later, we remain one of the city's pioneering private hotels, continuing to offer the same genuine Uzbek hospitality that has defined us from the very beginning.

Over the years, we have welcomed hindred of thousands of travelers from around the world, partnered with international tour operators, and become the starting point of countless unforgettable journeys through Uzbekistan.

The ancient city

Bukhara is a city where history is not confined to museums—it lives in every street, courtyard, and monument. Located in the heart of the Old City, Omar Khayyam Hotel is just a short walk from the iconic Lyabi-Hauz ensemble, the Po-i-Kalyan Complex, the Ark Fortress, and many of Bukhara's most remarkable architectural treasures. Our central location allows guests to discover the city's UNESCO-listed heritage entirely on foot, without the need for transportation.

Present day

Today, Omar Khayyam Hotel offers 50 comfortable rooms designed for solo travelers, couples, families, tour groups, and business guests alike. Every room is thoughtfully prepared to provide a peaceful retreat after a day spent exploring one of Central Asia's most fascinating cities.

Our philosophy is simple: we do not strive to be the largest hotel in Bukhara—we strive to be the one guests remember and choose to return to. This commitment has earned us long-standing partnerships with travel companies and the trust of guests who continue to recommend us to friends and family.

What we try to be careful about.

A reliable front desk.

A person at the desk, twenty-four hours a day, who answers in English, Russian or Uzbek and can draw a walking map of the old city without looking at a screen.

Honest pricing.

No resort fees, no surcharges at the breakfast table, no upselling. The rate you book is the rate you pay.

Quiet rooms.

Metre-thick brick walls, double-glazed windows on the street side, and a courtyard arrangement that keeps noise out of every bedroom.

Fresh breakfast.

Start your day with a fresh breakfast featuring local specialties, seasonal fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and freshly brewed coffee. Carefully prepared each morning, it's the perfect beginning to a day in Bukhara.

10/10 Location.

Located in the heart of Bukhara's Old City, Omar Khayyam Hotel is within walking distance of the city's most iconic landmarks. Explore ancient streets, historic monuments, and authentic local culture—all just moments from your room.

Open Air Cinema.

As the sun sets, our courtyard transforms into an open-air cinema beneath the stars. Enjoy a movie in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the timeless charm of Bukhara.
